April 2013 Meeting Recap

Sisters,
What a great spring meeting we had on Tuesday. 17 sisters responded to roll call, that is AWESOME!!!!
We initiated Cyndie Shadow, please welcome Cyndie to our chapter.
Debbie Vesel hosted the meeting (thanks Debbie) as Emily Ray is out of town. Unfortunately, Emily had a fire in her kitchen, but she is okay just out of her house for a month or more as it gets repaired.
The new officers did a great job last night giving their first reports to the chapter. Thank you to all the outgoing officers for training the incoming officers and getting them your supplies in a timely manner.
We received an email from the President of the Missouri State Chapter, congratulating us on a super year of activities and bringing in new members. Remember its okay to talk to people about P.E.O. especially if you feel someone would be an excellent addition to our sisterhood. Invite them to the P.E.O. coffees on the 3rd Saturday or any other social event for us all to get to meet them.
Michelle Wilson reported that Chapter GN is holding an event this Thursday evening, April 4 at 1300 W 13th Street in the West Bottoms from 5 to 7 pm, cost is $10. Lynn McIntosh, Leslie Byrnes, and Debbie Vesel expressed interest in attending. If you are interested please reach out to any of these 3 for more information.
For suggestions for the good of the chapter:
* Danica announced her engagement - Congratulations! Possibly a March 2014 wedding.
* Michelle Wilson announced her first born is leaving the nest and moving to Nashville on Monday. She has a job as an Assist. Mgr at a coffee house in Nashville.
* Lynn McIntosh just got back from Rome. Yes, Rome, Italy where the new Pope is.
Lenore provided yummy goodies for desert, and Susan Simmonds gave a great Cottey report and Leslie Byrnes gave more information about Missouri Outreach.
Our next meeting is May 7th at Lynn McIntosh's.
Our social this month is Pizza at Minsky's for the day after Tax Day, April 16th.
Lovingly in P.E.O.,
Heather
